Peace Tau Cross with Intertwined Hands in Val Gardena Wood

The Tau Cross of Peace is a sculptural devotional object and symbol of protection and indissoluble bond. Crafted by Val Gardena artisans, it depicts two hands carved in relief and embraced within the essential shape of the Tau cross.

The piece contrasts colour and texture: a larger light beige‑cream hand supports a smaller, darker hand, while sinuous terracotta‑coloured drapery frames the scene. A subtle sheen and three‑dimensional finish give the work the appearance of a precious antique patina.

Carved from precious maple wood and available in sizes from 5 cm to 30 cm, it is offered hand‑coloured or with a natural finish. An exclusive version in authentic Italian olive wood — prized for its unique grain and symbolic depth — is also available, making each cross a unique item.
