Statue Sister Angela Merici in Val Gardena Wood, Hand-Painted Sacred Sculpture

The sculpture of Saint Angela Merici, by Dolfi, depicts her in a calm, contemplative pose with her head slightly inclined and her gaze on an open book symbolising the Rule or the Holy Scriptures.

Meticulously hand-painted, the figure wears a tunic, veil and dark cloak modelled with fluid shading and folds. Golden accents on the cross and the small crucifix of the rosary add subtle highlights, while the brown robes contrasted with the white veil and light skin emphasise her purity.

Carved in the Val Gardena tradition and offered in sizes from 15 cm to 200 cm. Materials: maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm, lime wood for larger sizes. Each piece is hand-finished by expert sculptors and is unique.
