The chromatic finishes enhance spirituality: Mary with her desaturated blue-grey mantle and terracotta touches, and Joseph wrapped in warm brown and ochre tones, create a high-impact chromatic balance. The Child, wrapped and laid in the manger, is the focal point of this harmony.
