Saint Teresa of Calcutta Statue in Maple and Lime Wood Val Gardena

The sculpture depicts Mother Teresa in her white habit with blue border, emblematic of the Missionaries of Charity. Her left arm reaches forward and down in a welcoming gesture while her right hand holds a rosary; the lined, slightly lowered gaze conveys humility and dedication.

All drapery—from veil to the folds of the sari—is carefully carved by the master sculptors of Val Gardena. The piece is available in several finishes, including an elegant hand-painted version with faithfully applied blue stripes to accentuate the purity of its lines.

Statues up to 56 cm are carved from maple wood, prized for its fine grain and capacity for detail. Larger sizes (60–200 cm) are executed in durable lime wood to ensure a lasting sculptural presence in any sacred setting.
