Sculpture Saint Agnes in Maple and Linden Wood

Hand-carved in Val Gardena, Saint Agnes has a serene expression and dignified presence. Her mantle features a metallic gold lining and a delicate crown tops her head; hand-shaded colours emphasise the depth of the folds as the figure tenderly embraces a lamb, symbolising purity and sacrifice.

An example of Dolfi craftsmanship, the sculpture is available in two finishes: coloured (C), painted with natural pigments for a vibrant, realistic effect; and natural wood (N), which showcases the timber’s grain and texture.

Sizes up to 56 cm are carved in maple for definition and lightness; larger, more imposing dimensions for churches and large niches are carved in robust linden wood.
