Crucified Christ Sculpture on Curved Cross Made of Val Gardena Wood

Crucifix "Body of Christ on a Curved Cross" by Dolfi, handcrafted in the Val Gardena woodcarving tradition, represents the Passion with restrained, lifelike detail and a curved, elegant cross form.

The figure shows pronounced anatomical realism — ribs, tendons, crown of thorns and a deeply draped loincloth — with a pale, shaded skin tone. The crucifixion wounds on the palms, overlapping feet and side are emphasised with a deep red, and the INRI tablet above the bowed head is finished in gold.

The cross has a smooth dark-brown finish to contrast the body. Maple is used for sizes up to 56 cm and linden for larger sizes. Available finishes include natural, coloured and gold leaf to suit churches or domestic settings.
