Baroque Crucifix Val Gardena in Natural Wood – Artisan Work

The Baroque Crucifix, carved in Val Gardena, features a Baroque cross with flared, chamfered ends reminiscent of a trefoil. Finished in light natural wood with a warm grain and a matte to slightly satin surface, the cross provides a subtle contrast to the corpus.

The Body of Christ is carved in a very light, uniform tone highlighting anatomical detail — muscular lines, defined ribs and the fluid drapery of the loincloth. The composition is completed by a gilded-brass "INRI" inscription.

Available in a range of sizes: statues up to 56 cm are carved in maple; larger sizes are in sturdy linden. Handcrafted in the Dolfi tradition, the crucifix suits churches, chapels and domestic sacred spaces.
