The newborn rests in a peaceful pose, with chubby cheeks framed by soft curls, and eyes turned heavenward in silent prayer. The pictorial finish, applied with extreme care, enhances the delicacy of the peach-colored complexion, the rosy cheeks, and the expression of a sweet, hinted smile. The body is delicately wrapped in an off-white drapery that falls in natural folds.
