Standing Camel - Maple Wood

This superb Dromedary sculpture, a fundamental element of the Dolfi Nativity scene, captures the majesty and placidness of the animal. Crafted with the precision that distinguishes Val Gardena craftsmanship, the statue is depicted in a static and composed pose, with its head raised, displaying a tranquil and almost smiling expression. The open mouth reveals a surprising anatomical detail, giving the subject a serene and composed air.

The chromatic finishes are a tribute to the desert nature: the body is covered in warm caramel brown and ocher, while the single hump and shoulders are highlighted with darker, more intense reddish shades. The master artisans have imbued a remarkable realism by varying textures: the surface of the legs and neck appears smooth and polished, while the thick fur of the hump and back is rendered with rougher, more pronounced incisions, mimicking the animal's coat.

The sculpture is available in different variants (from 6 cm to 15 cm) to perfectly integrate into your Nativity scene. According to our tradition, it is carved from precious maple wood, the material of choice for sizes under 56 cm.
