This sculpture of Saint Aldegonda depicts a contemplative figure in a monastic habit with ample, voluminous folds and a oil paint finish that emphasises the texture. The golden crosier and rosary cross provide bright accents against the sober brown habit, and the figure is shown barefoot with a calm expression.
Carved and hand-finished by master sculptors from Val Gardena, it reflects South Tyrolean craftsmanship. Available in various sizes: maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm; lime wood for larger sizes, all with the same quality of carving and finish.
