Artistic Statue St. Emanuel in Painted Wood | Val Gardena Handicraft

Handmade in Val Gardena, this sculpture of Saint Emmanuel shows the saint with a serene, downward gaze as he contemplates the book in his hand — a traditional symbol of wisdom and devotion.

The figure wears intense reddish-brown robes highlighted with precious gold-leaf gilding that emphasises the drapery, with a metallic sheen on the crozier and mitre. Every fold of the fabric and stroke of the thick beard is finely carved, reflecting South Tyrolean craftsmanship.

Smaller sizes (up to 56 cm) are carved in maple, while larger versions use sturdy linden. Available from 15 cm up to 2 metres, the statue comes in 'Coloured' (C) to enhance chromatic contrasts and gilding, or in 'Three shades of brown' (3G) for a more classic finish.
