Sleeping St. Joseph Sculpture in Val Gardena Wood Dolfi

The sculpture portrays Saint Joseph in a moment of restful serenity, reclining on his right side with a halo, a relaxed face and a subtle smile that invite quiet contemplation.

Carved by the artisans of Val Gardena, the figure features rich, voluminous draperies painted in muted olive green and warm golden ochre; chiaroscuro techniques give striking three-dimensionality. Gold leaf on the garment edges and halo adds a sacred accent to the semi‑matte, hand‑painted wood finish.

Made from selected precious woods: sizes up to 56 cm are carved in maple, while 60 cm and above are in linden. An exclusive Italian olive wood finish is also available. Each Dolfi piece is a tangible expression of faith and artisanal mastery.
