Sculpture Saint Genevieve in Hand-Carved and Hand-Painted Wood Val Gardena

The Saint Genevieve sculpture, carved by Val Gardena artisans, depicts the saint in a humble, contemplative pose with her head bowed. The dark garment's deep folds contrast with a pale veil and white cord; her right hand is in a blessing gesture while the left holds the Book of Rules and a lit candle.

Each piece is hand-carved and hand-painted in oil colours, with careful shading and finish to emphasise the carved detail and preserve an artisanal character.

Sizes up to 56 cm are carved from maple wood for finer detail; larger sizes are made from linden wood for added strength and long-term preservation.
