Wooden Statue of Saint Anthony of Padua with Child

Saint Anthony of Padua is shown in a moment of serene devotion, wearing the Franciscan habit with the cord bearing three knots (the vows) and holding the Child Jesus. The Child sits on an open book and points upwards, symbolising Divine Truth; lilies (emblems of purity) and a hanging rosary complete the iconography. The folds of the habit and the attentive expression are finely carved.

Carved in Val Gardena by skilled artisans for Dolfi, the statue is available in several woods: the "U" variant is solid Italian Olive Wood, while other finishes are carved from Maple for smaller sizes (up to 56 cm) and Linden for larger sizes. Available in a natural finish or hand-painted and patinated.
