Saint Flora Martyr Sculpture in Val Gardena Wood, Hand-painted

Carved in Val Gardena by Dolfi artisans, this statue of Saint Flora Martyr combines regal poise with an antique colour palette. The deep green mantle with densely modelled drapery contrasts with gilded finishes on the crown and robe lining; the serene, downcast expression and the emblems of martyrdom — a silver‑grey breastplate and an open book pierced by a dagger — are executed to millimetre precision.

Made from maple for sizes up to 56 cm and from linden for larger versions up to 200 cm. The hand‑painted, semi‑matt finish enhances three‑dimensional detail, making the piece suitable for domestic display or liturgical use.
