Hand‑carved in the centuries‑old Val Gardena tradition, this sculpture of Saint Matilda stands in a contemplative pose with richly draped robes conveying volume and movement.

The polychrome finish pairs a deep burgundy mantle with a cream dress, accented with gold highlights; crown and robe edges are finished with patinated gold leaf. Her expression is serene — she holds a model of a church in her left hand and a book topped by a sphere in her right.

Available in a range of sizes for sacred or domestic settings. Pieces up to 56 cm are carved from precious maple; larger sizes are in sturdy linden wood for definition and durability.
