Also known as Our Lady of the Rosary, the chaplet of the Virgin Mary was prayed to by the navy of Pope St. Pius V during the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. As the men prayed to Her, the battle ended with their victory, driving away the Turkish navy. The day of the Battle was commemorated as the feast day for Our Lady of Victory.
