Hand-Carved Crucifix from Val Gardena Wood, Classic Line

Classic hand-carved Crucifix carved by sculptors from Val Gardena, representing Christ on the cross with an intense, restrained realism that emphasises the moment of surrender.

Notable anatomical detail includes contracted musculature, prominent ribs and raised veins; wounds on the hands, feet and side are painted vivid red against a pale complexion with grey‑violet shading. The loincloth is a deep blue with shiny gold‑leaf finishes and the "INRI" placard is gilded and reflective.

Each piece is hand‑finished and coloured. Available from 16 cm to 300 cm; made in maple wood for sizes up to 56 cm and in linden wood for all larger sizes.
