Hand-Carved Crucifix from Val Gardena Wood, Classic Line

Hand‑carved Crucifix made by Val Gardena sculptors, depicting Christ on the cross with detailed anatomical modelling — contracted musculature, prominent ribs and raised veins — to convey the moment of sacrifice.

The wounds on hands, feet and side are hand‑painted in vivid red against a pale, grey‑violet shaded body. The loincloth is painted intense blue with a shiny gold leaf finish and the INRI placard at the top of the cross is gilded.

Each piece is hand‑finished and hand‑painted. Sizes range from 16 cm to 300 cm; maple wood is used for sizes up to 56 cm, and linden wood for all larger sizes.
