Every Dolfi sculpture of Saint Angela of Foligno is a masterpiece of craftsmanship that embodies the essence of devotion and spirituality. The figure is immortalized in a standing pose, in deep contemplation, with her head gently bowed and her gaze lowered as a sign of humility.

The monastic habit, sculpted with deep and realistic folds, plays on an emotional chromatic contrast: the dark brown of the veil and scapular hugging the lighter habit, and the whiteness of the cincture and coif illuminating the face. In her hands, the Saint carries her eternal symbols: a simple wooden crucifix and a closed book, testaments to her life of penance and mystical doctrine.

The finish, entirely hand-crafted, enhances the natural grain of the wood, especially on the base and the book, giving it an opaque and waxed appearance typical of Alpine sacred art.
