Saint Rita of Cascia Wooden Statue Carved | Modern Design Val Gardena

This sculpture of Saint Rita of Cascia pairs traditional sacred art with a contemporary minimalist aesthetic. The tall, hieratic figure features a smooth, featureless face to invite universal contemplation; the clasped hands hold a simple wooden crucifix and a side rosary, focusing the viewer on the gesture of prayer.

Hand-carved by master artisans of Val Gardena, the statue is available in a choice of precious woods: natural or coloured maple, coloured ash, and rare Italian olive wood, with larger pieces carved in linden for added stability.

Material by size: up to 56 cm the sculpture is in maple (fine grain for excellent detail); from 60 cm upwards it is carved in linden to ensure solidity and presence in larger formats.
