Saint Valdetrude with Book in Wood – Artisanal Sculpture from Val Gardena

The statue of Saint Waldetrudis captures the essence of monastic devotion with serene and contemplative grace. Dressed in a habit that alternates warm shades of brown with the pure white of her veil, the figure stands in an upright pose, her head slightly bowed in humility. Every fold of the tunic and mantle is masterfully sculpted, giving the fabric dynamic realism, accentuated by the white rope belt and the dangling rosary.
