Angel in Natural Bark with Candle - Handmade Sculpture 25 cm

The Dolfi Angel with Candle is a stylised sculpture that pairs a simple, two-dimensional silhouette with the raw strength of natural materials. It brings a rustic, meditative presence to any setting while keeping a restrained, spiritual character.

The figure is veneered in natural bark: dark tones and a rough, cracked texture that contrast with smoother carved areas. A suggested wing at the back provides a subtle sense of movement and reflects Val Gardena craftsmanship and the Alpine tradition behind the piece.

Though essentially two-dimensional, the work gains depth from layered wood construction. Structural elements and the smoothed edge and candle "flame" are carved from maple wood, chosen for its fine grain and ability to hold detail—the material used for our sculptures under 56 cm. The pale, lunar-coloured flame projects forward as a quiet symbol of hope.
