This hand-carved sculpture of Saint Agnes of Montepulciano captures a moment of quiet contemplation. She wears a brown monastic habit painted to reveal the natural wood grain and holds the book of rules with downcast eyes; a lamb at her feet symbolises purity, while a crozier with a gilt curl and a rosary at her waist complete the figure.
Made in Italy in the Val Gardena carving tradition from selected woods: maple for sizes up to 56 cm, linden for 60 cm and above, providing greater stability for larger pieces.
