Holy Bishop with Crozier and Book, Val Gardena Carving

The sculpture of the Holy Bishop with Crozier is a work that embodies the sculptural mastery of Val Gardena, bringing a sense of solemn devotion and dignity to your home or place of worship. The Saint stands in a hieratic position. The colors are intense: the cardinal red of the outer robe and the deep blue of the underskirt create a chromatic contrast enhanced by golden edges that simulate gold with incredible luminosity. The white miter, the richly decorated crozier, and the open book he holds contribute to defining his figure as a spiritual and doctrinal guide.

Every detail, from the sculpted thick beard to the indication of the hand on the sacred text, is crafted with precision. The sculpture is finished with a matte varnish that enhances its grain and wood craftsmanship, doing justice to the Alpine artisanal tradition.

Materials and Finishes: In line with our tradition, the statue is made of maple wood for sizes up to 56cm and lime wood for other sizes.
