Saint Veronica Hand-Carved Wood Sculpture from Val Gardena

Standing figure with a balanced posture, wearing a deep dark green mantle with bluish‑grey tones and a lustrous golden inner lining that emphasises the folds and the drapery’s volume and movement.

The face is serene and contemplative, rendered with meticulous detail from the golden crown to the handheld symbols: a small bouquet of white and yellow flowers and the palm of martyrdom.

Made in the Val Gardena woodcarving tradition, the sculpture is carved and finely hand-painted by master artisans. Maple wood is used for sizes up to 56 cm, with limewood for larger sizes, providing detailed carving and lasting durability.
