Stylized Cross with Sitting Cherub – Wooden Handicraft for Children

The Stylized Cross with Sitting Angel is a carved wall cross by Val Gardena sculptors, designed for a child's bedroom and combining traditional religious imagery with a contemporary, gentle style.

At the centre a baby angel kneels on a cloud, framed by golden stars and a crescent moon. The soft finish uses a glazing technique reminiscent of watercolour — pale yellow for the cross, peach for the complexion and soft pinks for the wings — for nuanced, harmonious colouration.

Made entirely from maple wood and measuring 15 cm, the piece offers a fine grain and smooth surface ideal for delicate painting, reflecting Dolfi's authentic sacred craftsmanship.
